Consultation
The complementary consultation usually takes place over 1-2 phone or video calls with your team or project lead. In this phase, we gather information about your primary objectives, specific needs, and timeline. This can also include an initial discussion on cost and whether the project will be billed hourly or fixed price.
Project Discovery
After the consultation, we will provide a quote for a project discovery visit (if needed) and deliverable document. The cost of this phase depends on the length of the visit and any required travel. Our objective for this phase is to leave you with a document that captures detailed project requirements and our recommendations for next steps that will be valuable to you whether decide to hire us for the project, hire someone else, or handle the work internally.
Development and Delivery
After project discovery, we will provide a proposal for the project as detailed in the project discovery document. The proposal will outline the scope of work, payment terms, timeline, and assumptions, and deliverables (including an integration visit if required). We will begin development once we have approval of this proposal and a PO. If your requirements change during development, we can handle scope changes in immediate change requests or subsequent project phases. Software deliverables typically include an executable, source code, and documentation. Some contracts include a technical support retainer after integration.
